Crowne Plaza is one of Auckland’s largest 5 star hotels with 352 rooms. It’s located in the heart of Auckland CBD. Crowne Plaza Auckland won the best business hotel award 2017, 2018 and 2019 and it’s nominated for 2020 too. The hotel offers fabulous views from the upper floors. If you can afford it get a club room so you can access the exclusive club lounge. It’s totally worth it.
Crowne Plaza Auckland Location
The location is a 9/10. It’s perfect for tourist’s or business travellers. It’s not waterfront so it’s not a 10/10, but it’s the next best thing. You can walk to the Viaduct or SkyCity from here. And Queen Street is super close. You really couldn’t be more central.
Restaurants & Bars at Crowne Plaza Auckland
Aria Restaurant serves the hotel and the people of Auckland. It’s a top quality restaurant as you’d expect from a hotel like Crowne Plaza. By no means Auckland’s best but a really high standard of dining.
The club lounge on the 28th floor is only available to those who stay in a club room. For those lucky few it offer an incredible space with stunning views. Enjoy breakfast or evening drinks and canapes in the club lounge.
Accommodation Standard
The standard of accommodation offered at Crowne Plaza is a 9/10. Some guests complain the rooms are a little dated however they are always impeccable clean and everything is of a high standard. Some newer hotels have funkier design, but Crowne Plaza is still luxurious, just without the flair of some others.
