Haka Hotel Suites Auckland Review

Overview

Haka Hotel Suites is just that Hotel Suites. It’s doesn’t try to do to much. There’s no restaurant or bar in the hotel, but don’t worry there’s plenty of restaurants and bars on K Road. There’s no room service but they suggest Uber Eats which frankly offers more choice than any 4 star hotel kitchen. There’s no pool, or gym, or meeting room/banquet spaces if you need these facilities the Haka Hotel Suites is not for you. What Haka does offer is clean modern hotel suites, in Studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom. The rooms all have kitchens. They are well priced and perfect for people who don’t want to pay for services they won’t use.

Location

The location is a 7/10. K Road is one of Auckland edgiest districts. Known for late late night activities and clubs. For some people this will rule it out for others it will be part of the attraction. It’s a long walk to the Viaduct and Britomart but you can walk. Otherwise there are regular bus services.

Restaurants & Bars

You’ll need to go for a walk on K road or order yourself something from Uber Eats. The rooms all have a basic Kitchen so you can cook for yourself but the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or bar.

Accommodation Standard

The standard of accommodation offered at CityLife is a 7/10. It’s clean and modern with everything you really need. It’s not luxurious and it isn’t trying to be. Just basics done really well.

Negatives

  • Edgy location is not for everyone.

Outstanding Features

  • Clean Modern Rooms
  • Well priced.
