SkyCity Hotel Review
Overview
SkyCity Auckland Hotel is the 4 star hotel in the SkyCity complex. It’s about as good as 4 star hotels get. With the Sky Tower, the Casino, SkyCity Theatre, 20 bars and restaurants all in a magnificent central Auckland location. It’s an easy walk to anything in central Auckland.
Location
The location is a 10/10. SkyCity have created a destination with the Sky Tower, Casino, Theatre and 20 bars and restaurants. If you don’t stay here you’ll probably visit to gamble, dine or take in the views from the Sky Tower.
Restaurants & Bars
To many restaurants to name from fine dining to casual and everything in between. Don’t miss Masu with it’s fresh light Japanese inspired food, or Depot, or The Grill, or Andy Burgers – They are all excellent. They also have bars with DJs and live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Accommodation Standard
The standard of accommodation offered at SkyCity is a 10/10. This is as good as a 4 star hotel gets in Auckland. You won’t do better for the price, frankly it’s better than some 5 star hotels.
Negatives
- There’s no pool (SkyCity Grand has one though)
- It’s not the cheapest 4 star but it is good value because of the exceptional standard.
