Waitakere Heritage Hotel Review
This 4 star hotel sits atop the Waitakere Ranges looking back towards the city. It’s a beautiful quiet spot great for anyone looking to unwind away from the city. It’s more for couples getting away for a romantic night or two than business travellers. Make sure you check out nearby Piha Beach.
The location is a 9/10. But not for everyone. It’s a beautiful spot in the forest well away from any road noise. It’s also well away from civilisation. It’s a 35 minute drive from Waitakere Estate to the CBD at night with no traffic. You can double that at peak times. This is a place to go and stay and enjoy the Waitakeres and West Coast Beaches. If you’re commuting into the cbd from here you’ll get sick of the drive pretty fast. The best Accommodation in the Waitakere Ranges.
Restaurants & Bars
There’s a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The bar opens at 5PM. The restaurant has great views over Auckland City but isn’t open all day which is a shame as there’s not much else nearby.
The standard of accommodation offered at Heritage Estate is a 7/10. It’s a little run down and not as grand as it looks in some of the pictures but it does have a certain romance about it, so good for couples.
- Bit run down.
- Not as luxurious as some guests expect.
