This isn’t really the romantic couples get away spot of your dreams but if it’s the best you can afford you’ll probably have a great time here. Waipuna Hotel in Panmure is located on the edge of the Panmure Lagoon, which is an extinct volcanic crater that is now a tidal lagoon. When the tide is in the view is beautiful, however when the tide is out it’s not quite so picturesque. The lagoon has a 3km public running/walking track around it making it great for an evening jog.
The location is close to Sylvia Park Mall and Panmure village.
It has plenty of free parking so if you have a rental car this is a great choice. If you don’t have a car you’ll need to take taxis because public transport isn’t great in this part of town.
