Britomart’s upscale Movenpick Hotel is perfect for a luxury escape in Auckland. Located in the heart of Britomart next to the train station, many rooms offer sea views. The hotel is close to all the best luxury boutiques. It has an excellent restaurant with stunning views of the harbour.
Brand new in May 2022 voco Auckland City is a fantastic new luxury hotel from IHG. It’s billed as a sustainable option, but that doesn’t mean any reduction in luxury. It’s got the highest rooftop bar in New Zealand. For a true luxury escape you’ll want to be sure and book a suite.
The location is excellent, a short walk from Queen Street, Britomart, The Viaduct and Sky City. It’s an excellent central location. While staying here make sure to visit the nearby restaurant The Grove which has been one of Auckland’s best for more than 20 years.
Pullman Auckland is a 5 star hotel located on the corner of Princess Street and Waterloo Quadrant. Close to Auckland University, Old Government House, and Albert Park. It’s a short walk through Albert Park to the fabulous Auckland Art Gallery and a 20 minute walk to the Viaduct Harbour.
This is one of Auckland’s older 5 star hotels but has been renovated and is of a high standard. It’s great for business travelers, older couples, and families.

It’s located on Albert Street, a central city location roughly halfway between Skycity and the Viaduct Harbour.
