Westfield Newmarket’s rooftop dining area has an excellent steakhouse. Ramada offers studio, 1, and 2 bedroom apartments. This is the best hotel in Newmarket.

Quest Newmarket is an excellent serviced apartment hotel in Newmarket. 4-star rated, it’s located right in the middle of Newmarket next to the cinema and Olympic pools. There’s heaps of restaurants nearby, and it’s close to bus and train links to the CBD. This is a great place to stay in Auckland. Perfect for business travelers, families, or couples. It’s an excellent choice if you are looking for a hotel in Newmarket.

The Edgerley Suites

The Edgerley Suites is a serviced apartment complex offering 2, and 3 bedroom suites. All of which have kitchens. This a great place for families or couples traveling together wanting accommodation in Newmarket. It’s an easy 5 minute walk to Newmarket shops and like all Newmarket accommodation it’s well serviced by train and bus. It’s also a pretty cheap Uber to town from here. A solid 4-star standard hotel in Newmarket.

Quality Suites is a really nice 4-star hotel in Newmarket. A short 10 minute walk from the main shopping area. Rooms here range from a 20 sqm double, to a generous 36 sqm executive 1 bedroom suite. There’s several options in between so you’ll find something that’s right for you. There is free parking but it is limited and you can not reserve a spot.

Alpers Lodge in Newmarket is a 10 minute walk from the shopping district. The standard here is definitely 3-star, but it’s not nasty. It’s a good place for business travelers on a budget. The rooms all have a kitchenette so that you can microwave some dinner for yourself. Or you can wander into Newmarket and try one of the many fine restaurants there.

No. 9 Hotel

No. 9 Hotel is a 3 star hotel and backpackers in Newmarket. (This was until recently Haka Hotel Newmarket) It’s not fancy and the rooms are tiny. They also offer shared dorm rooms if you’re on a really tight budget. If you need parking here make sure you call and book a spot as they don’t have much available at this budget hotel in Newmarket.

Best Western Inn Newmarket is a little further from the shops than you might like, but is still in walking distance (approx. 15 minutes). It’s been refurbished to a 4-star standard and while it’s not flash it’s certainly not unpleasant. This Newmarket hotel is a good option for business travelers. And it has free parking.

Newmarket is an excellent suburb to stay in for anyone visiting Auckland. It’s close to the CBD. Only 5 minutes from Britomart by train. There are also regular buses. Newmarket it self is a safe suburb, with a plenty of restaurants, and the best shopping in Auckland with plenty of interesting boutiques as well as all the major chain stores. It has a huge mall as well as on street shopping. While there are a few great bars, it’s not the place for late night drinking and partying which contributes to it feeling safer at night. It is an nice location for international travellers, but probably better suited to domestic travellers. Many domestic travellers stay in Newmarket while visiting one of the specialist medical centres in Remuera, or one of the many specialist dentists in Epsom and Newmarket. Hotels in Newmarket provide easy access to Auckland CBD but are considerably cheaper. There are no luxury hotels in Newmarket, but most of the hotels are nice. Quest and Ramada are both new, while Edgerly Suites is the most upmarket hotel in Newmarket.
