Novotel Auckland Ellerslie Hotel Review

Overview

Novotel Ellerslie is located next to the Ellerslie Racecourse and many rooms have park views towards the racecourse grounds. It’s great for business travellers as it’s got great conference facilities, has excellent motorway access and is close to ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane. It’s a solid 4 star hotel. It’s best for business travellers if you’re a tourist you’ll be happier in the CBD.

Location

The location is a 7/10 on average but it really depends why you are staying there. If you are a business traveller needing to visit clients all over Auckland then it’s a great central location. If you’re looking for a romantic weekend this might actually be ok especially if part of your weekend involves going to the races, but really unless you need to be in Ellerslie, most people will be happier in the CBD.

Restaurants & Bars

There’s a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The restaurant doesn’t have great reviews but is fine. Just don’t expect more than a basic business hotel restaurant and you won’t be disappointed. This is not the restaurant to take a first date, but totally fine for dinner after a day of visiting clients.

Accommodation Standard

The standard of accommodation offered at Novotel Auckland Ellerslie is a 8/10. It’s a Novotel there are always well run and this is no different. Well design rooms are always clean. The rooms are starting to get a little tired but will no doubt be refreshed well before they drop below an acceptable standard for the average business traveller.
