The Auckland Luxury Hotel market is set for a shake up with the 5 star Park Hyatt Auckland Hotel set to open in Quarter 4 2019.
Update 26 June 2020 – Park Hyatt Auckland is now accepting bookings from October 16 2020.
Update 20th September 2020 – Park Hyatt Auckland is now open.
Park Hyatt Hotel will have only 195 rooms, but 4 restaurants, a 25m indoor pool with stunning views, a day spa, and boutique flexible event spaces. The suites are said to amazing with prototyping done in China before suites were constructed in New Zealand. The Presidential suite looks like taking the title of Auckland’s finest hotel room when it opens. It’s said to be a massive 245m square. Even the smallest rooms are a massive 38m square, twice the size of some other 5 star hotel rooms in Auckland.
The building could have easily held twice as many rooms however the owners have clearly made a decision to place guest experience as the top priority. The hotel contains a huge internal atrium which floods the communal spaces with natural light, and an enormous moat water feature which runs around two sides of the interior.
