What makes a good Business Hotel?

It’s a combination of location and facilities. Ideally you want to stay near where you are doing business. If your meetings are all in the city then you’ll want a hotel in the CBD that allows you to walk to most of your destinations. If you have meetings all over Auckland then you’ll probably need a car and factors like parking and access to motorways will become a more important factor.

Many business people will want a desk in their room that allows them to plug in a laptop and keep on top of there email or make last minute changes to that sales presentation. Generally you’ll also want a hotel with a decent restaurant, and bar to celebrate that sale, or drown your sorrows if the deal fell through.

Many business trips a short and sweet so you may want a hotel close to the airport, which can really cut down on travel times and make the most of the available business hours in a one or two day trip.

If you’re lucky enough to have a job where you’re wining and dining your clients then you’ll want to be near one of Auckland Restaurant Districts such as the Viaduct, Ponsonby or Britomart.

Choose your hotel wisely and don’t be afraid to spend a little more on your hotel. You’ll usually save more by being in the right location. You won’t spend as much on taxis and you’ll be more productive as you won’t waste too much time travelling around the city.

We hope you find the Business Hotel that’s right for you.
