Looking for Viaduct Harbour Accommodation? Try one of these great Auckland waterfront Hotels.

Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour is the most sought after location in Auckland for accommodation. And it’s easy to see why, Auckland’s waterfront is absolutely beautiful. There’s nothing better than an early morning stroll around the docks. Except, perhaps, breakfast at one of the many fabulous restaurants.

There’s only 4 hotels that put you right in the Viaduct harbour so see which one is right for you and book it.

Luxury Marina View Room Sofitel Viaduct Harbour 5 star luxury hotel room

This is the most luxurious 5 star hotel in Auckland and my pick of the best Viaduct Harbour hotels. The lobby and shared spaces are incredible, as are the rooms. It’s the best hotel in Auckland for a romantic weekend. Because it’s so romantic it’s also an amazing wedding venue.

Sofitel Viaduct Harbour is also the perfect place for an executive retreat. The location is impeccable. Obviously it’s in the Viaduct Harbour, so it is only a short walk from everything Auckland has to offer. But it’s just far enough away from the bars that it is quieter than some other centrally located hotels.

Boasting an amazing day spa, and first class restaurants it’s an experience not to be missed. There’s spectacular views of the Viaduct Harbour from the marina view rooms. And all rooms have a balcony. It’s a close walk to many of Auckland’s best restaurants, don’t miss Baduzzi in Wynyard Quarter or the nearby Auckland Seafood Festival.

The Hilton Hotel Auckland waterfront.

Auckland is known as the City of Sails. A stay at the Hilton literally puts you out on the harbour amongst the yachts. It’s located on the tip of Princess wharf. The views of Auckland’s waterfront are incredible.

Princess wharf is right next to Viaduct Harbour, which is a must do location to visit. Mainly because it’s New Zealand’s leading restaurant district. There are more restaurant choices in Viaduct Harbour than you’ll be able to try during your stay.

It’s a short walk to Auckland’s central business district, Britomart train station and the Maritime Museum. And it’s also next to the ferry terminal putting Devonport and Waiheke Island in easy reach.

As you would expect from the Hilton, the rooms are generously sized and luxuriously appointed. The heated outdoor pool offers incredible views across to Devonport. Hilton Auckland is perfect for executive business travellers, couples getaways, or families. This 5 star hotel in Viaduct Harbour isn’t cheap but it is an experience you will never forget.

The Sebel Hotel at Viaduct Harbour in the evening

This is an apartment hotel and doesn’t have all of the amenities you might expect from a quality hotel. However The Sebel Viaduct Harbour makes up for it with its location. This is right in the heart of the viaduct above some of Auckland’s finest restaurants. It can be a little noisy on weekend nights as it’s in the busiest part of the viaduct. The higher the room the less noise there is. You will be spoilt for choice of restaurants. No other Auckland hotel puts you into the action of the Viaduct Harbour nightlife like the Sebel.

M Social Hotel 4 star in Viaduct Harbour

M Social is a great 4 star hotel in Auckland right across the road from the Viaduct Harbour. Because it’s such a great location on Auckland’s waterfront many of the rooms have fabulous sea views.

It’s at the top end of 4 star hotels in Auckland, I’d almost call it a 5 star. With 190 rooms it’s quite large, perfect for families and couples. It’s really close to the Ferry Terminal, Britomart train station and obviously the Viaduct Harbour. This is a top quality Viaduct hotel with a lot of  activities located nearby. The only negative is it doesn’t have a pool.
