SOHO Hotel Review
Overview
SOHO is a new in 2023 4 star hotel in the unlikely suburb of Mount Roskill. It’s about as good as 4 star hotels get. The rooms are fairly spacious, and beautifully decorated with an upmarket feel.
Location
The location is a 4/10. I don’t know why you would choose this location for a hotel. It is on Stoddard road which is a mix of industrial and residential. It’s 10 minutes drive from the CBD in off peak traffic, and would be an option if you where going to Eden Park and didn’t want to stay in the CBD. It is NOT a location for tourists.
Restaurants & Bars
SOHO has a restaurant and bar on site. There are also a numder of good indian restaurants in a short drive away in Sandringham village. (It’s a drive not a walk)
Accommodation Standard
The standard of accommodation offered at SOHO is a 10/10. This is a really great 4 star hotel with a spa. The rooms are spacious and well laid out with a luxurious feel and a romantic ambience. It’s just built in an odd location.
Negatives
- The location. Unless you need to visit Sandringham and want to stay there.
- Paid Parking – Outside of the CBD this should be free
